How will my cat settle into a cattery?
Despite many owner's reservations, cats settle quickly into "Mr White's" cattery environment. They enjoy the routine of regular feeding and attention and feel secure within their individual accommodation.
Grooming of my cat?
All cats are generally groomed once daily, or as required.
When will my cat be fed?
The meal routine is important for relaxing your cat. All cats are fed small meals twice daily. A record of intake is kept and special diets are catered for where practical.
Do we board kittens?
Small kittens (up to 4 months) not recommended. Owners of kittens should first visit to assure themselves that the outdoor run mesh size offers adequate security.
What will my cat be fed?
We ask each owner what type of food their cat is normally fed and what their particular likes and dislikes are. Where possible we feed the same food as the cat is normally given. This also avoids any tummy upsets.
How often are the cats checked?
We begin feeding and cleaning out the units at around 6.30am. The cats are checked again at midday and then fed again around 5pm. We carry out a final check on the cats between 8 and 11pm. We also spend time with each cat.
Will my cat come into contact with other cats?
This should never happen. Only cats from the same household share accommodation and each unit and run is fully disinfected/cleaned between boarders.
What type of cat litter do you use?
We use three types - paper pellets, premium cat litter and natural wood based mulch litter. The litter bins are cleaned twice daily.
What does the per night rate include?
The rate includes wet and dry food, litter, and a heated safe environment. The price also includes travel to/from veterinary surgeon if a consultation is required.
Medical Attention
Existing/known medical conditions requiring ongoing medication (daily pills, etc) are catered to. Where veterinary advice is deemed necessary it will be sought at owner's cost.
